noms+

Our customer portal does double duty — managing subscriptions and turning one-time add-ons into recurring revenue.

01 — The challenge

Challenge

noms+ sells vegan supplements for dogs and cats — different products for different conditions (joints, coat, digestion, dental). A subscriber on one supplement is a great candidate for a second, but most subscription tools treat upsells as a checkout-time problem, not an in-program one. noms+ wanted the customer portal itself to do the work.

02 — The solution

Solution

With Zubs, noms+ presents a small, curated set of additional products inside the customer portal, framed as one-time add-ons to the next shipment. The mechanic is intentional: low-commitment first ("just try it once with my next box"), and Zubs then treats those add-ons as recurring upgrade candidates. Bundle pricing rewards larger basket sizes from the start, so the portal upsell stacks on top of an already discounted core sub.

03 — The result

Results

The portal is starting to do real second-surface work — add-on attachment is climbing month over month, an increasing share of new subscribers come from existing customers rather than fresh acquisition, and subscribers actively engage with the program (skipping, modifying, swapping) rather than walking away when life gets busy. The mechanic compounds: each active subscriber is a discovery channel for the rest of the catalogue, and the portal makes that discovery low-stakes.

"

"We sell vegan supplements for very specific conditions — different products for joints, coat, digestion, dental. A subscriber on one is often a great candidate for a second, but checkout upsells weren't catching them. With Zubs we use the customer portal itself to surface a few curated add-ons for the next shipment. Customers try them once, often keep them, and they roll into the recurring program. The portal is doing real growth work for us, not just admin."
